The Tekonsha Trailer Breakaway System with Integrated Multi-Stage Charger is designed to bring a trailer safely to a stop by activating its electric brakes should it become disconnected while being towed. It’s designed for use on 1, 2 or 3 axle trailers equipped with electric brakes. The Multi-Stage Integrated Charger provides a fast recharge of the trailer brake battery up to 12.8 Volts. Once the trailer breakaway battery is fully charged, the automatic float mode is designed to provide a continuous charge without overcharging. Push to test LED's provide fast and easy battery testing status and indicate fully charged (Green), charging (Yellow), or recharge (Red). The weather/corrosion resistant, the heavy-duty polymer case of the trailer breakaway kit protects battery and charger. Quick and easy to install, the trailer breakaway kit with battery offers three mounting options, including vertical, horizontal, and post mount (bracket sold separately).
