The SLAP 104 Lite Alpine Touring Ski is ZAG’s passport to mountain adventure. ZAG needed to add a double tip touring ski to the range to bring a more playful character to the Touring segment. The lightness and power of this ski are designed to hurl down the great expanses of virgin snow. This construction uses multi-axial glass fibers, increasing skiability and power by adding torsional and flexural rigidity. The aim is also to reduce the final weight of these XXL-sized skis, hence the use of Paulownia wood in the core for lightness, complemented by poplar for strength.

The fun and intuitiveness of the SLAP 104 are now in a lighter construction to take you further on your next adventure. The SLAP 104 Lite is light, playful, stable at high speeds, and durable over time. ZAG called on street artist Tommy Knuts to create an exclusive design for the topsheet. The construction uses a SEMI CAP sandwich construction to ensure optimum force transmission throughout the ski, giving the skier all the grip needed on the hardest snow. The durability of the ski is also extended thanks to ABS edges.

This ski features SHAPE IN 5 POINTS, a specific shape that increases ski maneuverability without overly increasing rocker values. It also uses MULTI RADIUS SHAPING, which is a ski design method that allows radii to be varied in several independent zones. The other major innovation is the skin attachment system, with a hole in the tail into which a hook is clipped for easy tensioning of the skin.
